I carefully observe your cat’s behaviour to ensure they are in good health and feeling comfortable in your absence. I use my expertise to identify any changes in mood or behaviour that could indicate stress or health concerns, and I will communicate any observations with you.
A significant part of my service involves taking and editing high-quality photos, as well as preparing detailed updates for you. I’m committed to providing excellent service and always go the extra mile to avoid sending subpar photos or updates. In the past, I would spend over an hour per visit just to ensure the photos were perfect, which unfortunately led to burnout and left little time for me to care for myself.
To address this, I’ve created different service packages that balance quality care with efficiency, allowing me to continue delivering a high standard of service without compromising my well-being. These packages offer flexibility, whether you want a brief check-in or a more interactive experience for your cat, making my services accessible to all.
Before my visits, please ensure that your cat’s food and litter are easily accessible. If there are any specific instructions or preferences for feeding, medication, or care, please provide those details. It’s also helpful to let me know about any special routines or favourite toys your cat enjoys.
No, I am fully dedicated to spending quality time with your cat. While I truly appreciate the offer, my focus is on caring for your pet, capturing photos, and sending you updates. As a professional, I often have multiple bookings in a day, which requires me to manage my time efficiently and move between homes. This leaves little room for rest or leisure activities during my visits. During overnight stays, I may have some downtime, but I prefer to use my laptop for work or personal tasks.
Your cat’s health and safety are my top priorities. If your cat becomes ill or injured during my visit, I will immediately contact you and follow your instructions. I also maintain a list of emergency contacts that you provide during the initial booking through my website, including your vet. This ensures that in case of any issues, I can quickly access the necessary contacts and ensure prompt care.
Should any emergency occur, I am insured to provide pet transportation and will ensure your cat receives prompt care by taking them to the nearest available veterinarian.

I do not charge extra for administering medication, as your cat’s health is a priority and it’s an essential part of their care. I also currently do not charge an additional fee for multiple cats. However, if you have multiple cats, you might consider choosing the extended package during booking to account for the additional time and care required. This ensures that each of your pets receives the attention they need.

The choice is entirely yours. However, by booking me directly, you’re supporting me, while booking through Cat In A Flat supports the platform. I’m always happy to address any concerns or disputes personally (should you have any), without the need for external support. Additionally, I always strive to keep my pricing fair and accessible, but the platform deducts 25% of my earnings, which has made it challenging to balance my time, energy, and career growth in the long term.
When booking directly, you also benefit from the fact that I pay for my own insurance, which covers public liability, pet care, and key loss – providing extra peace of mind. The pricing of the services remains quite similar; the only difference is that Cat In A Flat includes more peak-time charges throughout the year, whereas mine is fixed, with the exception of the Christmas period.
